DarkSky Index is a guest-facing stargazing darkness forecast for hospitality hosts. For your property it computes a 90-night outlook of sky darkness (moon phase, Milky Way core, rated meteor peaks) and surfaces the best upcoming nights, as a shareable branded page and an embeddable widget.

How accurate is the forecast?

Darkness, moon phase, and the Milky Way are astronomical facts, computed exactly for your exact coordinates across the full 90-night window. Cloud cover is a separate overlay from Open-Meteo, shown for the nearest 14 nights only, since weather forecasts further out are not reliable.

What if it is cloudy?

We show the real cloud cover for the near 14 nights, right alongside the darkness rating, so nothing is hidden. Darkness and clouds are always shown separately, never blended into one score.

Will this help me get bookings?

It gives dark-sky guests a concrete reason to book the dates worth booking: a specific, dated forecast of the best nights (new moon, Milky Way core, meteor peaks) instead of a vague 'great stargazing' claim. Guests who pick the right nights leave reviews about the stay, not about a washed-out sky.

Why not just write 'great stargazing' in my listing?
